On November 17, with the final bolt tightened, all tie-ins for Amiral Package 5C were successfully completed as part of the plant turnaround. The 37-day work was performed by more than 500 craftsmen across 6 blocks, 8 areas and 21 units, covering 18 new tie-ins. The project team tackled challenges including extensive simultaneous operations (SIMOPS), high safety risks, and tight resources.
To ensure smooth turnaround, the project team established a dedicated task force six months in advance to coordinate manpower and equipment, strengthen communication with the Client, expedite work permit processing, and guarantee smooth on-site operations. During the turnaround, leveraging the integrated EPC strengths, the team implemented a "checklist closure and milestone advancement" mechanism, with on-site design support, precise procurement expediting, and optimized construction crew allocation to efficiently drive all work phases. With designers present on-site for rapid response, precise procurement expediting, well-coordinated workforce allocation for construction, all work sequences progressed as planned.
The project team successfully completed multiple critical tasks including 88 tie-in packages and 15 control valves, laying a solid foundation for completing the remaining activities of the Package 5C and earned high recognition from the Client.
