On June 21, amid a toolbox talk, WAS Project celebrated the achievement of 2 million safe man hours without lost-time injury. Speaking at the toolbox meeting, John Kelly, Site Manager of EPCM Worley, lauded the achievement of the formidable milestone by the team while battling the scorching heat. On behalf of Worley, John presented awards to the project team and eight employees in recognition of their excellent performance in safety management.
"Safety First" is a mindset being fostered on the project team since Day 1. A solid line of defense is being forged by accountability, training, hazard identification and mitigation, demonstrating our commitment to safety as a culture.
The achievement of the 2 million safe man hours milestone is a boost of morale and a stepping stone for continued excellence on the project as the construction activities are moving forward from civil works to full-swing mechanical works.
