Recently, the BI-163 project team successfully conducted trial operation for the steam turbine generator set of Saudi Aramco in Saudi Arabia, with all operational figures satisfying the specifications, laying the groundwork for start-up.
The trial operation is a testimony of the team’s dedication and professionalism. In the course of the project execution, the team tackled a number of challenges head on, including legacy design flaws, incomplete documentation, compounded by a complex documentation handover process. Following the issuance of the Mechanical Completion Certificate (MCC) by Aramco on March 21, 2025 as a result of multiple reviews and on-site inspections, the trial operation activities were commenced on April 6. During the month-long trial, the generator set performance proved to be stable at high-load and continuous operation state, successfully passing all performance tests, including overload test. All the hard work paid off!
The team’s quality service is highly recognized by client Aramco, a demonstration of its excellent expertise, teamwork and professionalism.
