First Concrete Pouring For Retaining Wall Pouring at Amiral Project

On March 23, the Amiral EPC Project team in Saudi Arabia successfully poured concrete for the first 10-meter section of the retaining wall.

The retaining wall is designed to support the buried bullet tank. The installation and reinforcement of the high-formwork system are crucial for the stability and accuracy of the formwork. Even minor deviation in formwork dimensions and the sealing of reserved openings for electrical conduits can impact construction safety and quality. To address these challenges, the project term adopted a modular prefabrication and assembly approach, which effectively reduces the construction complexity and enhanced installation efficiency.

Prior to the formal concrete pouring, the design and construction teams conducted multiple technical reviews on concrete performance parameters (e.g., workability, compressive strength) and temperature control requirements during placement. The mix design was optimized through iterative adjustments to admixture and aggregate ratios to ensure pouring quality. In the meantime, the project team followed rigorous safety and quality control procedures.
