On March 29 and 30, as Eid al-Fitr began, Muslim colleagues at Sinopec Nanjing Engineering Middle East Co., Ltd. (SNEMEC) participated in events to celebrate the end of fasting during the holy month of Ramadan. Prayers, presents, the days were marked with feasting and reflecting together with colleagues, boosting a sense of togetherness amongst Muslim colleagues as SNEMEC continues to support religious and cultural practices amongst a diverse workforce.
As SNEMEC marks two decades presence in the Middle East, we are proud to have 90% workforce coming from third countries and locally from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, with a vast majority of Muslim colleagues. Third-country nationals and Saudi nationals are the drivers of SNEMEC’s continued success in the Middle East markets. With a diverse workforce, SNEMEC is committed to fostering a workplace culture that values their physical and mental wellbeing by supporting their religious and cultural practices, so that they can feel respected and included in the melting-pot Sinopec family.
