SNEI E&I’s EWPL Project Team Forges ahead with Function Test for the 115kV GIS Substation

Recently, the testing work of the 115kV GIS substation system for Aramco’s Upgrade Crude Oil Delivery System (EWPL Project) by SNEI’s Electrical and Instrument Branch (SNEI E&I) is advancing in an orderly manner.

The team always put safety management at the heart of the testing work. Through site-specific safety orientation and toolbox talk, the safety awareness and quality requirements are instilled in the testing personnel, to see that all the testing stages are completed successfully. Given the stringent technical requirements of the substation, the team continuously improve the testing process while meticulously manage all test data, laying the groundwork for the reliable operation of the equipment.

For graduate intakes assigned to the project team, a mentoring program is launched, which is designed to accelerate knowledge transfer between senior and junior employees, in a bid to secure a pipeline of talented testing specialists leveraging hands-on experience on the job.
