On May 16th, a quality walk-around and share event was conducted by SNEI Electrical & Instrumentation Branch to showcase its installation works for the substation of Al Shuaibah Solar PV Project in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Owner ACWA Power, EPC contractor CEEC and subcontractors involved in the Project participated in the event.

The team walked through the installation steps of the transformer, SVG, AIS and their respective accessories, as well as the installation and wiring of the MV switchgear and the protection cabinet. The E&I installation quality was recognized by ACWA Power, which requested the subcontractors to perform their installation works by following such exemplary workmanship as showcased in the quality share event. A mock-up certificate was issued by the EPC Contractor CEEC in recognition of SNEI’s installation expertise for the substation works.
