On August 29, the BI-19 UPS of Saudi EP2 Project Department officially broke ground with the personnel, materials and related construction tools in place. The main scope of this project is to replace the UPS and HAVC system within the J93 workshop of Ras Tanura Refinery, and install a new operation room. The construction period is expected to be half a year, mainly involving civil and electrical/instrument works. Currently, civil construction work has been started.

Due to the extended time waiting for obtaining approval from the Owner for the Permit to Work (PTW), field activities could not be carried out. However, the project team proactively prepared for the start of the project, studied the engineering drawings, organized site visits for many times, meticulously developed the construction work plan, coordinated personnel and machinery, and completed various project documents. At the same time, they strengthened communication with the Owner and its operation departments and coordinated the PTW. Thanks to these proactive efforts and sufficient preparation, the PTW was issued by the Owner, and the field activities have been smoothly carried out. Currently, civil work has come to the construction stage.

Following BI-902, BI-19 UPS is another project undertaken by EP2 Project Department in the RTR plant, which is testament of the confidence and trust by the Owner Saudi Aramco of SNEI.
