Saudi EP2 Project Team recently completed the installation of G-14 fire water pump at the low-lift pumping station for BI-902 Project as part of a replacement work.
The low-lift pumping station of BI-902 Project consists of 5 pumps to supply fire water for the entire complex at Ras Tanura. To minimize disruption to the operations, the Owner planned the pump replacements in a sequential order, which entails an aggressive schedule, intensive workload, and multiple interfaces. To achieve the milestone on time, immediately after the Spring Festival, the project team developed a detailed execution plan, and made meticulous preparation for construction. The outcome is completion of the installation of G-14 pump 2 days ahead of schedule. The success is credited to the unrelenting efforts made by the team to tackle the challenges including windy and sandy weather conditions hampering crane operations. The team performed the work even overtime to achieve the progress.
As of now, four pumps have been successfully replaced. Next, the project team will continue to replace the last pump according to the schedule, in order to achieve client satisfaction, and contribute to the sustained growth of SNEI in the Saudi market.
