On May 27, U&I Project in KSA held the HSE day for all 3,500 personnel involved in the Project.
Through early planning and coordination, and good arrangement on site, all units involved in the Project carried out HSE workshops of various types at the team level by taking into account their own situations in the unit. The first topic covered in the workshops is to clearly define the responsibilities of each individual in the HSE, strengthen the sense of responsibility among the team members, enhance the awareness amongst the team for risk prevention and control, such that the safety risks can be prevented and controlled; the second topic is to strengthen studying the HSE procedures, develop the habit to perform the work according to the regulations and procedures, and the workshop also highlighted the management procedures for permit to work and the STA procedures newly developed by the project management team; the third topic is to share experiences, best practices and lessons amongst the workers involved in the Project, in order to improve the HSE skills at work.
The HSE day provided a platform to improve the HSE skills amongst the teams involved in the Project, enhance the awareness for HSE amongst the workers, and consolidate the foundation for shift from “I am wanted to be safe” to “I want to be safe”.
