On  November 18, SNEI achieved successful completion of the overhaul & revamp  project for reformer III of Sinopec Zhenhai Refining & Chemical Company. On  October 24, the overhaul project started upon completion of shutdown for  blowing, and last 25 days till November 18. Pass rate of weld RT is 99%; for the  air cooler, many difficulties were overcome, including large amount of  dismantling and reinstatement, large amount of prefabrication work, large pipe  bore, large amount of pipes, and work at height, among others; field lifting was  completed successfully after one try; safety, quality and progress are all under  control.

The  overhaul and revamp has high requirements from owner, the schedule is tight,  there are large amount of work load, the site space is congested, there are many  lifting activities and work at height, there are multiple locations with cross  work safety risks, and it is difficult to manage safety at work peak on site.  For this, the PMT prepared detailed plan for the overhaul activities, and  defined responsibilities to each department and individual; housekeeping on site  follows standard procedures, crane travelling route is well coordinated, and  lifting work area is reasonably arranged within limited space; strengthened  safety and quality supervision, the PMT asked the responsible persons to conduct  inspections on site every day to avoid any safety and quality hazards. All these  efforts have contributed to the completion of the project on schedule, safely,  and with good quality.
