On November 19, the flue gas DeSOx and DeNOx project undertaken by SNEI for the 3MMT/a FCCU achieved successful intermediate handover.
During the construction phase, the PMT has overcome multiple adverse factors like materials, weather and design variations before first achieving the intermediate handover of the waste heat boiler and DeNOx sections by the end of June this year, which have been successfully put into operation.
The project involves multiple disciplines including the existing boiler demolition, structural steel, static equipment, mechanical equipment, process piping, electrical, telecommunication, instrumentation, painting, insulation, and heavy lifting.
The PMT made reasonable arrangement and coordination by 1) strengthening early preparations by each discipline with collaboration between the disciplines; 2) utilizing a Level 4 schedule to manage the plans and targets during the process, coordinating the work in parallel, as well as safety, quality and housekeeping on site; 3) strengthening site organization, to address various issues which may affect project schedule in a timely manner, and also switching from step-wise work to work in parallel, multi-layer work to layer-wise work; 4) adjusting the overall construction schedule according to the actual project progress, and then breaking down the overall construction schedule, preparing detailed work plan for the critical path, concentrating efforts on one after another, so as to ensure smooth completion of the project, and make contribution to SINOPEC’s "Blue Sky and Clean Water" Project.
