On September 4, the B0101 substation of the RTIP piperack project undertaken in KSA was successfully energized on first try, achieving another key milestone in the project.
Despite various additional changes and revisions in later stage of substation design and punch list items from stringent auditing by Client, the PMT made overall coordination, and carried out timely communication and coordination with EPC contractor and Client and take decisive steps to ensure smooth progress for the changes and punch list items.
In order to ensure smooth energizing of the substation, the PMT prepared detailed plan for energizing, and conducted detailed inspections for all electrical equipment, indoor lighting, indicators, safety passages, fire alarm and fire fighting systems, and provided cordon areas in advance, and assigned dedicated personnel for watching, and made sufficient preparation for energizing.
The successful energizing of the B0101 substation has paved the way for commissioning of the top priority fuel gas system by Client and subsequent motor testing for the plant.
