Yanbu  APS/VPS project in Saudi Arabia received the EPC contractor’s (SKEC) completion  certificate on Aug. 9, and the project officially moved from the contract to  warranty period. During the project execution, SNEI established a good image for  Sinopec, and was highly appreciated by the leaders of the headquarters &  Chinese embassy in Saudi Arabia for a couple of times.

APS/VPS  project is the first large-scale installation cooperation project between SNEI  & SK&EC, Korea. Via unremitting efforts and continuous coordination  & adjustment, relying on sincerity and quality service, Project Dept. was  positively affirmed and accepted by SK&EC Corporation, Korea and the owner  YASREF, and won good reputation in all aspects.

For  the project, SNEI and Nanjing Huayun Construction Technology Co., Ltd.  established joint Project Dept. in combination for the first time to achieve  Level I management. SNEI only assigned 6 management personnel, which had  important significance for exploration of both parties’  cooperation mode & cost control, and provided valuable experience for the  execution mode of SNEI’s overseas projects in the future.

Safety  on site, quality and others for the project was strictly managed. In safety  aspect, no event of lost man-hours occurred to the APS/VPS project in the past  three years, and the project won golden flag prizes awarded by Saudi Aramco for  three times during this period. In quality aspect, one-off qualification rate of  pipeline weld was 97.09%, meeting the control target of welding  quality.

Successful  implementation of APS/VPS project is achieved through the joint efforts input by  each department of SNEI, affiliates & Project Dept. During the process of  implementing the project, resource organization, construction arrangement,  contract execution & project closure were  made step by step, which is honored as “SNEI’s safest  project”.
