On May 8, SNEI completed lifting and assembly of the first spherical tank with the biggest volume in its history – a 6,000m3 ammonia spherical tank of Sinopec Anqing Company.
Erection of the two new 6,000m3 ammonia spherical tanks in the revamp and expansion project for the liquid ammonia storage and handling system of Sinopec Anqing Company is undertaken by SNEI’s storage tank erection subsidiary. With full support from the project management team of Sinopec Anqing Company, and with prophase preparations on the construction techniques, lifting, assembly and erection of the first 6,000m3 ammonia spherical tank was successfully completed from May 1 through May 8. During the lifting and assembly operations, measures were taken to ensure progress, quality and safety of the scaffold erection, and strict control of assembly clearance and arc of each tank shell course, so that the tank shell plates were assembled smoothly and safely, and the lifting was completed one day ahead of schedule.
