On Aug. 14th, the 110kV central substation undertaken by SNEI for YPC Refinery Revamp Project was energized successfully on the first try, various indicators are normal, the electrical equipment and instruments are operating steadily. The 2 main transformers in the 110kV central substation of YPC Refinery Revamp Project each has a capacity of 80kVA, which is the biggest installed capacity in the history of construction for electrical works undertaken by SNEI. The substation adopts state-of-the-art domestic technologies for remote viewing, remote measuring, remote control and remote listening. All operations are carried out in the background computer. This successful energizing marks the successful achievement of a key milestone in YPC Refinery Revamp Project, and has created an excellent condition for subsequent energizing of substations in each unit. The 110kV 1st Central Substation is the biggest substation on the new site of YPC Refinery Revamp, and also the first substation to be put into operation in the refining project. In order to ensure early operation of the central substation, SNEI project management team for YPC Refinery Revamp U&O Project worked all out proactively and overcame many adverse factors and difficulties, and successfully achieved early handover of the central substation and E/I installation and testing. During the testing, the project management team proactively organized and arranged civil, HVAC and other disciplines concerned to assist the change activities, and also assigned dedicated personnel to keep track of the “3C4D” punch list activities, which provides good condition for successful energizing of the central substation, and finally makes it ready for energizing. This successful energizing of the 110kV Central Substation has laid a solid foundation for the successful interim handover of YPC Refinery Revamp U&O Project.
