On April 28th, SNEI held a mobilization meeting of YPC Area Labour Competition in the conference room in the temporary facility located at YPC Oil Refinery Revamp Project site. More than 60 heads from all project management teams and professional branch companies in the YPC area attended the meeting. Mr. Xiang Wenwu, SNEI CPC Party Secretary and President as well, Mr. Zhu Jinbo, SNEI Deputy CPC Party Secretary, Secretary of CPC Committee for Discipline Inspection and Chairman of Trade Union, Mr. Tang Mingzhi, SNEI Vice President, along with representatives from SNEI Trade Union and Youth League Committee attended the meeting. The meeting was held successfully in a concise, efficient and practical atmosphere.
At the meeting, the "Notice on Labour Competition among Projects in YPC Area" was announced, and a briefing was made for the labour competition to specify the aim of the competition. Representatives from SRU EPC Project, Coal-to-Syngas Project, Utilities Project and E&I Branch Company, etc., spoke at the meeting to show their stance.
VP Tang Mingzhi made a further analysis on the situation in YPC area, and instructed the comprehensive assessment panel of YPC Branch Company to carry out the work practically, and help the projects to make the corrections properly. Mr. Tang Mingzhi analyzed the necessity and importance of holding the labour competition in YPC area, and instructed the project teams to combine the labour competition with the area coordination work, with the project management, and with the team building, and make sure the project activities will proceed in an orderly fashion, so as to achieve successful completion of each project.
President Xiang Wenwu, by recognizing the orderly and unique work performed by the project teams, reaffirmed that the market in YPC area offers crucial significance to SENI. He also emphasized that: 1) the tighter the project schedule, the more scientific and effective organization is required; 2) the tighter the project schedule, the more stringent requirements should be given to safety and quality; 3) the team management should be strengthened, and assistance should be offered to the subcontractors to solve their problems and create good conditions for them, and help them with the detailed work, and maintain stability of the team; and 4) the project management teams, units and departments should perform the work on site with the required skills and in a practical and pragmatic manner. Driven by the spirit of the labour competition, all project management teams are requested to be united, help each other, work hard, and make continuous efforts to realize SNEI``s great goal of delivering first-class project, creating first-class image, and building a first-class enterprise.
