Recently,  one-off successful startup of the revamped reaction system in EO unit of Sinopec  Yangzi Company was realized and qualified product was produced  successfully.

Engineering  construction of this project started from June 2010. Implementation of the  project was divided into three stages: in Stage I, the unit was shut down for TA  in 2010 and portion of revamp was implemented in advance (purification unit); In  Stage II, i.e., from May to August 2012, EG was revamped, and the civil works  and installation were completed two days ahead of schedule, which was delivered  to production team and one-off startup was conducted successfully; in Stage  III,   180k/a EO main unit and associated project were constructed from  the second half of 2011 to Jan. 18, 2013.

During  the engineering construction, all employees involved in the project overcame all  adverse factors, optimized scheme, arranged plan in a more detailed manner and  strengthened process control. Especially, after Oct. 2012, they launched a labor  competition, set up control points, and alternate construction activities by all  disciplines, transverse and vertical construction activities, above and  underground construction activities were properly arranged and performed under  good safety and protection conditions, which put forward the construction  progress. The interim  handover was achieved in Jan. 15, 2013. After operation was  maintained for more than two months, feed was charged into the unit and  qualified product was produced in a successful manner.
