For the Saudi NDA solely undertaken by SNEI, SNEI put the project safety management in the first place. The 2 million safe man-hours had been achieved recently in the project.
Project Department paid attention the actual effect of safety management. During design stage, safety personnel from Project Department took part in discussion about safety issues throughout the process; after the work focus had been transferred to the site of Saudi, Project Department prepared routine safety management rules as per the standards of Europe and USA, and all personnel were not allowed to work until they have received safety training; traffic guides were assigned to the site of the project, first aid station was established and doctors & nurses were dispatched, and safety organization chart and emergency telephone number were published. Project Department communicates the safety management rules at the weekly safety conference, and each unit participating in construction makes safety clarification at daily toolbox meeting.
At the same time, Project Department provides safety personnel in strict accordance with the percentage of 1:50 and implements accountability system in terms of district and zone. Issues identified during safety check were recorded. Some issues were corrected on site, and some issues were requested to be rectified within the specific time. Rewards and punishments are properly combined to realize integrated control.
