In  the morning of Dec. 28, the grand interim handover ceremony was held for  Wuhan 800 kt/a  ethylene project. Mr. Xiang Wenwu, the executive director, GM and secretary of  the party committee of SNEI, and Mr. Tang Mingzhi, DGM, attended the interim  handover ceremony. On the interim handover ceremony, the interim handover of the  EO/EG unit contracted by SNEI was achieved to a high standard, and Mr. Ju Fakui,  the manager of Wuhan ethylene project, signed the interim handover signature  letter on behalf of the construction party.

The  EO/EG unit was the key construction project of SNEI’s Wuhan Project Department,  and also the final construction project to be interim handed over. Successful  interim handover of the EO/EG unit was a milestone for the Project Department,  and a turning point where the Project Department would transfer the focus of  work from the engineering construction to preparation of startup. As the project  with C class management mode in Wuhan ethylene project of SNEI, the successful  interim handover of the 150/280 kt/a EO/EG further consolidated SNEI’s dominant  position in the petrochemical construction management area in China, established  solid foundation for full implementation of EPC project of SNEI, was an  important node of the construction of the whole Wuhan ethylene project, and  provided powerful guarantee for success of feed-in in an one-off manner for  Wuhan ethylene project.

After  the interim handover, SNEI would do a good job in clearing of tail-in work in  the later period of the project, and cooperate with the processing unit well to  ensure that the unit can be put into operation successfully in an one-off  manner.
