Side Slope Works of Wengdun Oil Depot at Sanming, Fujian, contracted and constructed by SNEI,  has been completed recently at a high standard. Successful completion of this  works has made it the first of side slope construction projects undertaken by  SNEI in its history. 

     This project is located at the mountain on the northern side of Wengdun Oil  Depot in Meilie District, Sanming city. The site is bounded by mountains on the  eastern, western and northern sides. During the project construction, slopes  were first excavated around the mountains and then they were leveled and  constructed to form peripheral side slopes. Total area of the side slopes is  approximately 3,000m2 and  their total length is about 420m, with their general slope height being  5～26m.  The quantities of slope supporting work were large and types of supporting were  various, the construction (anchor cable) was highly professional, so special  construction machines and tools, equipment and testing means were required, and  requirement of technical quality control was strict throughout the project.

     Since drilling for the first trial anchor cable was started on August 3, 2010,  the project department has been trying its best to work actively as required by  the client, develop a harmonious internal and external working atmosphere, and  strengthen both internal and external coordination. This slope supporting and  protection project is the first of its kind undertaken by SNEI, and SNEI has no  experience in the construction of this field, this brought about great  difficulties to the construction activities. But the project department fought  hard and overcame the various difficulties. People from the project department  and the subcontractors worked together to share hardships and remove every work  barrier, during which they accumulated experiences one by one and accomplished  extraordinary achievements, and win applauses from all related  parties！

     The side slope construction project at Wengdun Oil Depot has been successfully  completed as per high standard, which enabled SNEI to make a breakthrough in  terms of side slope construction project, and its performance in safe protection  and quality control have also won good comments from both supervision companies  and the client.
