MIP Project Conducts Upskilling Training in Saudi Arabia

On July 18, the MIP Project conducted trainings for welders and wrapping applicators among foreign employees.

The training involved both class-room and hands-on sessions. Lectures were given on work procedures as part of the class-room sessions where safety case studies and welding safety protective measures were shared. The class-room sessions were followed by "hands-on" training highlighting work sequences and HSE for welders and wrapping applicators, with the aim to eliminate the so-called “low standards, chronic problems, bad habits” in their routine work. Exams were conducted to evaluate basic knowledge, hands-on work, HSE, and other aspects as part of the upskilling program for foreign worker crews.

As of now, 10 trainings have been conducted for foreign employees, involving 122 person-times from 5 crews, including welders, pipe fitters, riggers and other crafts working at height. The trainings are designed to provide upskilling for crews.

The MIP Project launched such training programs for foreign employees to ensure correct and skillful operation. The foreign employees are striving to obtain Aramco qualifications for their specific trades. SNEI’s diverse and inclusive culture for talent development is the driver to secure sustained growth in overseas operations.
